It's a fake university, that's for sure.
- The text on their web site is a copy of the text at the web site of another unknown "university", "Mcford University". The web sites appear identical.
- The "Headway University" web domain was only registered on 2nd September this year. Mcford was registered on 8th August.
- They claim to be accredited by the "International Accreditation Body for Online Education" but I can find no trace of such an accreditation body. Incidentally, the IABOE web site was only registered on 14th October this year.
- As far as I can establish neither of these universities or the accreditation body have any history, not surprising as they seem only to have been created in the last few weeks.
- I chatted to them online a short while ago and they confirmed that I could get a degree in "10 to 12" days, with no prior, relevant qualifications so long as I pay them US$648.
Please wait for a site operator to respond.No qualifications are required, they don't actually exist, they aren't actually accredited and all they want is money. They're fake. Simple really.

I was approached by Headway after a failed attempt from another scam Uni--Corllins ,, maybe they just changed their name , I have had multiple emails and phone calls from just a 6 digit number , I live and work in China so after some discussion I said that I could send the special price of $499 via western union --OH NO you cant do that we don`t accept WU payments from China we only accept WU from the middle east , and you have to send the money there , I asked where and Ethan just stopped chatting, I also asked many times for their actual physical address --again no answer ,,thanks for the blog

ReplyDeleteI have contacted Headway University and have accepted their offer with special discount. And i have even pay the first of deposit for the fee ($300). They obliged the payment only through credit/debit card and requested the 4 first digits number of the card. Afterward, they confirmed they received the money and have to wait 15days to receive the degree. Now i was googling for that Universtiy and find this blogg. What can i do in this case. Is it possible that they steal all the money in my account by these 4 digits they i send to them? Please Assist further !!

Thank God I saw this early, I was filling the form online when I suddenly got a call after filling in my mobile number and email ad, he called himself Don Mcallister(sr. Student Advior) he said everything everybody has been saying and he said I can get a discount rate of 499dollars instead 648 dollars, but I told him I can only pay at the end of the month since am been payed monthly at my job, so he said the offer will be held for me till the 30th of this month. All this happened just yesterday and truly I was gonna pay until I decided to google it now and saw all this blogs. Thanks guys for shedding light on this fake people, cheers.

I am a REAL M.D. - went to medical school, got a REAL Bachelor's degree first, etc. etc....took over ten years... so I have been thinking about a Ph.D. and just for the hell of it, sent McFord a note to an email I hardly use - BEFORE I finished the email to them, they already called me from a blocked number and said I could get a Ph.D. in 10-15 day for $874 and that they are in San Francisco, California (I am from California) so I made up small talk about restauraunts that don't exist in San Francisco - he was agreeing with me about the great food..so I knew it was a scam right away..but for fun, I askd who the school was accredited thru and he gave me some BS IAOCOM or something like that, I didnt even write it down as I knew it was fake and he said the STATE DEPARTMENT will certify my diploma, I said great, give me your contact at the State Department and Iwill call them - He said I can't, it's confidential information, I said "No, the State Department is a PUBLIC Govenment Organisation and I will call them myself and chek you out" - then I basically told him I was busy and had to go.... so stay away from these fakes...go to a real school.. I KNOW my Ph.D. will take at LEAST another 2 years IN a University IN a laboratory - there is no such thing as "life experience degrees" - be careful and NEVER send these idiots your money - because then YOU are the idiot! Good luck with your REAL education!

ReplyDeleteA good indicator that the school is a fake is if the website ends with ".com" instead or ".edu." Be on the lookout for that and do your research on whatever school you are interested in. i.e. Location, year established, and if a live chat opens right away....probably a fake. They are just trying to lure you in and get your money. Good luck and happy studies!

Oh my goodness, I was about to fall for the scam right away. I just spoke with one phony called Gary Smith (Gary Smith my ass). This dude or whoever is behind the computer was about to rip me off my hard earned cash just because im desperate to study and have a degree.

That was so foolproof, these people are good, except they did not provide details of the programs on offer to receive the degree...you do not just choose your GPA...lol!
