With so many emails going round loaded with virus payloads and so many opportunities to be lured towards web sites riddled with viruses it's insane not to have an anti-virus package on your PC. There's no excuse, particularly as they needn't cost anything.On our Windows-based computers we use Microsoft Security Essentials which is entirely free (even in business on up to 10 PCs) but we've also used AVG which has a free basic version.
The alternative of course is to use a Mac. No viruses.
